By Tomeu Bordoy

the hotel factory has been through certain transformations during the past months. Not only for our new and exciting projects or the opening of our new office in Madrid, in Príncipe de Vergara street, but also in terms of our team.

During these months we have expanded our team and, at the same time, new promotions have been made among the staff that was already part of the team of the hotel factory.

Therefore, and as we did for our new consultants, we have asked the people who have received these new promotions something more about themselves, not only their about studies or professional experience, that you can always find along with the rest of the team that compose the hotel factory, but also more personal questions.

Today we would like to introduce you to Nuria Salvá Ripoll our new team leader from the Palma office since last September. In charge of supervising the work of the rest of the consultants and to carry out each and every one of the projects that are carried out in the company.

THF: Tell us a bit about yourself, a summary of how you got here.NURI

Well I am 100% Mallorcan, I studied ADE and during the last three years I have lived in Italy (in Florence) and Scotland (in Edinburgh). I started my career in the banking sector, but soon I discovered that the Hospitality sector was more suitable for me. It is the sector that makes people happy on their holidays. I arrived at THF through a master’s degree that I studied in 2013 and from that moment I am here.

THF: Now we come to the questions. What do you like the most about the hotel factory and which is the first word that comes to mind when we talk about the company?

Honesty, know-how and excellence.

THF: Your greatest weakness, what can’t you resist?

It has a proper name, my niece Martina.

THF: With what do you disagree?

Injustice and lies. They drive me crazy.

THF: What do you like to do during your free time, do you practice any sport?

I play paddle and I love to dance.

THF: Books or films, coffee or tea, and why?

Movies and coffee. Reading is an individual activity and watching a movie is usually more social. Although I like to read, if I had to choose I would prefer to watch a movie and to eat popcorn.

THF: Any secret you would like to share with us?

Is this a trick question? Jajaja

NuriTHF: What was your last trip?

Indonesia, in January. I toured a part of the country for 3 weeks with a good friend. Even though Bali is a paradise, I prefer the south of the island of Lombok, it was wonderful!

THF: Something that scares you.

I have no fears. Although I’m not very friendly with certain insects.

THF: How do you get energy for your day to day life?

Increasingly I believe in the importance of conciliation. Having a full personal life recharges you of positive energy to face the professional challenges. It is important to find the balance between both aspects of life.

THF: What would you say to yourself 5 years ago?

Information is power, even so, I would not tell her anything. I would let her make mistakes just as I did before. That, has led me to who I am and where I am, what exactly I am and where I want to be.

And here ends our little interview. If you want to know more about her and the rest of the team members of the hotel factory, don’t hesitate to visit the team tab on our website or look for us on LinkedIn where you can also find latest news of the hotel sector.
