For this reason, we have asked them to tell us more about themselves and to share it with all of you during the upcoming weeks. We have a couple of questions ready for them to answer, and with them we hope that you can learn a little more about them than what you can see on the Team tab  on our website where you can find all of the team members at the hotel factory.

We are pleased to introduce you to Ariadna Planella Villanueva, one of our new consultants who has joined us in our office in Madrid.

THF: Tell us a bit about yourself, a summary of how you got here.

I’m from Barcelona and I studied Hotel Management and Tourism, also in Barcelona. I have had the opportunity to work in different companies in the tourism sector such as hotels, affiliation seals, travel agencies, museums or as a tourist guide. From each experience you learn. I love discovering new places and, even though I think Barcelona is ideal, whenever I have an excuse, such as to study a language, internships, volunteering or leisure, I try to escape to other cities. I got to the hotel factory because I’m convinced that my place to be is in a hotel consultancy.

THF: Now we come to the questions. What do you like the most about the hotel factory and which is the first word that comes to mind when we talk about the company?

The thoroughness and rigour with with everything is carried out, the study of every small detail covering the whole project.

Teamwork, it’s a very important factor to carry out our projects.

THF: Your greatest weakness, what can’t you resist?

I would say chocolate, but I consider it more a way to know how to enjoy life than a weakness. So I would say sales and discounts, that is a problem.

THF: With what do you disagree?

Bad coffee.

THF: What do you like to do during your free time, do you practice any sport?

My hobby at the moment is to completely adapt to a new city and lifestyle. When I find time I will go back to my usual hobbies; piano, basketball and ski.

THF: Books or films, coffee or tea, and why?

Both, books and films. I prefer historical novels and all types of films. I like to learn about our history and find relations with the present. On weekdays, without a doubt, I prefer a good coffee, otherwise chocolate.

THF: Any secret you would like to share with us?

A secret is a secret.

THF: What was your last trip?

A unique experience as a backpacker around Indonesia for 4 weeks. Their culture was the most interesting.

THF: Something that scares you.

Things that can’t be explained.

THF: How do you get energy for your day to day life?

Sleeping as much as possible, to have some motivation or an existential reason and set goals that make you improve. For instance, eat less chocolate, read more, laugh more, do things better, learning as much as possible, give more attention to your loved ones, practice some sport, meet with old acquaintances, etc. Each one of us decides if those small things are worth doing to feel fulfilled and get energy to continue.

THF: What would you say to yourself 5 years ago?

I would say: “Don’t stress out for such small things that aren’t important” and “make the most out of any new opportunity and every experience”.

And here ends our little interview. If you want to know more about her and the rest of the team members of the hotel factory, don’t hesitate to visit the Team tab on our website or look for us on LinkedIn where you can also find the latest news of the hotel sector.
