“If you think that education is too expensive, try the ignorance.”
Derek Bok. Ex rector Harvard University
During the last 10 years from the hotel factory we have been assisting our clients, defending their interests and adding value to their businesses from our national and international hotel vision.
Now we also want to add value with two new tools: Training and Coaching with the clear objective of successfully implementing projects.
Change is the intrinsic part of life and worklife of every one of us. Those who look only to the past are certain to miss the future.
Through our training and coaching formula we want to change people’s attitudes, enhance new styles of leadership and ways of working.
Investing in training is profitable, more training, more profits, although not directly, but through a catalyst that is in which it actually invests a company when trains its people… EFFECTIVENESS, MOTIVATION AND PRODUCTIVITY.
What is the difference between Training and Coaching?
Training is a group activity and Coaching is an individual one, although we can also do Coaching with a team.
The main difference is that through Training we work with the professional in a collective manner developing both technical and interpersonal skills. Nevertheless, through Coaching we work with the person from the belief that we all have internal resources that help us develop external potential.
With training we learn. Learning comes from outside sources.
With Coaching we drive our inner potential. The growth comes from within.
What is our work style?
We have recently worked with a hotel chain in Croatia and have designed a training programme destined to:
Learn how to do the job in a proper technical way and with consistent processes.
Learn how to do the job with the right interpersonal skills to give a good service.
Learn that everything we do in a hotel, when it becomes a memorable experience for our client, is because there has been a perfect balance between technical and interpersonal skills.
The professionals working for this chain have incorporated this paradigm shift and although sometimes it might not imply great changes, it improves the means to see and understand our daily work from a different perspective such as:
… this is not about upselling, it is about improving the client’s experience.
… this is not about customer service, this is about creating memorable experiences.
… this is not about handling complaints, this is about turning around awkward situations.
Our commitment
We firmly believe that “good service sells”. Better the experience created for our customers, higher profits.
From the hotel factory we have a team of experts in hotel operational skills, catering and accommodation in general, and experts in interpersonal, leadership and management skills. Certified coaches with experience in the hotel industry and tourism sector in general.
We use accredited models such as Sikkhona®, Bridge®, DISC®, Belbin® endorsed by leading companies in the world of executive training in strategic leadership such as Center for Creative Leadership.
Our training programmes add value to the resources that the companies already have to invest in education. FUNDAE (“Fundación Estatal para la Formación en el Empleo”) helps companies to train their teams through the management of public funds and what we offer is a quality training offer in which to invest.
All at the service of our customers … because today’s labor market requires everyone to constantly update knowledge and skills to adapt to changes in our industry and customers.
Last but not least, training and coaching improve the person and we want to involve our participants to be the main players in their own professional development process.
