the hotel factory continues growing, not only in new and interesting projects, but also regarding its own team. We always have candidates who come to our company to do internships of their degree studies or university master thanks to the various university agreements that we have signed with universities throughout the Spanish territory as well as internationally.
Therefore, as we usually do, we have asked the people who are doing their internships with us to tell us something more about themselves, their studies and their experience with us.
Today we introduce to you Albert Ginard Ripoll; an MBA in International Hotel and Tourism Management – specialty in Finance Management – student at the Vatel International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and that he just started his internship with us in our Palma office.
THF: Tell us a little bit more about yourself. Where are you from? What are you studying?
I was born in Palma and I’ve lived almost all my life here. I went abroad to study an MBA in Hotel and Tourism management.
THF: Why did you decide to study this?
After studying a Bachelor degree in Economics, my first internship was in a big hotel chain. Afterwards, I worked at the industry by chance both in Spain and Australia and after some years of experience I decided to study a master to grow up professionally.
THF: How did you come to know about the hotel factory? What caught your attention?
I knew THF at the employment forum organised by Vatel. The fact it was the only company that was offering something different from the others caught my attention and I decided to know a little bit more about them.
THF: What was your impression when you met us for the first time during the interview?
It was nice. I got the feeling of meeting a company where I could learn a lot and be surrounded by great people.
THF: Now that you have seen first hand the kind of work that we do here, is it what you expected of a hotel consultant?
Absolutely. I always imagined the fact of being hundred per cent focused on a project, and when done, gain a lot of knowledge in that field.
THF: What do you like the most about this job?
I chose this internship to deal with different challenges every day. The huge variety of projects that THF is working with, the uncertainty of which project is coming up and the opportunity of learning with each of them makes this job challenging and exciting.
THF: What type of projects have you worked on during your months with us? Do find them interesting?
I am currently working on an economic benchmark for a hotel chain. We are developing quite a few projects at the moment where we are learning a lot of each one. Working at THF allows you to develop a wide view of the industry and this is why companies are coming more often to us.
THF: What you would say to all the students who want to work as an intern? What reasons would you give for them to choose the hotel factory?
Do not hesitate. THF is a great team of millennials where you will hugely grow professionally.
