T<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">echnology can be a great ally for this control while analyzing historic, actual and future data, making the commercialization processes easier and smoother, generating future knowledge and helping during the decision-making. <\/span><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right; margin-left: 10px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thehotelfactory.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Revenue-Management.jpg\" alt=\"Revenue-Management\" width=\"400\" height=\"298\" \/><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To undertake a new Revenue Management strategy, various points need to be taken into account:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Be aware of the \u201cforecasting\u201d. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using historic data to estimate and analyze the quantity of future business of our establishments, parting from variables such as income per available room (RevPAR), average daily rate (ADR), gross operating profit per available room (GOPPAR) and the occupation rate. It\u2019s also important to analyze the demand peaks in the destination and important events for the next season.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Analysis of the competition. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s fundamental to identify the competitive set of the hotel, being aware of the differences identified between the rates of our own hotel and rates of those in our competitive set<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. A<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lso<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">take into account <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the average rate of those hotels of the same category, in addition to their availability and online positioning.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To establish a <\/span><b>channel distribution strategy <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">accordingly with the positioning of the product and its market environment<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, h<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">otel units should be sold in the most <\/span><b>cost-effective way<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> possible<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. That should be done<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through a suitable distribution channel, with the best pricing and commissions structure. Regarding tour operation, the moment of establishing the terms and FIT rates of the next season\u2019s contract is very important in order to maximize control over inventory.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Pricing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
