It is important for hotels to make sure their bathrooms are kept up-to-date and not forgotten during renovation processes. Based on a thorough benchmark and international experience within hotel renovation projects, <\/span>the hotel factory <\/span>has observed the 10 most popular bathroom trends that are being implemented in different hotels.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

During hotel refurbishments, bathrooms are often forgotten. It has happened to each one of us during our travels; we come across rooms with the most groundbreaking and cutting-edge designs, with high-end finishes, only to find a bathroom from the eighties, that is narrow and outdated.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s true that bathrooms are the most expensive investment during room renovations, but hotels are now beginning to give more dedication to this area. In all honesty, where does the client spend most of his time when he is in the room? Is it spent lying in bed or in the bathroom.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on our international experience of multiple hotel renovation\u00a0projects and after a thorough <\/span>benchmark <\/span>(both an urban product and a holiday), <\/span>at <\/b>the hotel factory<\/i><\/b> we have identified the 10 most popular bathroom design trends that are being implemented in renovations\u00a0and new hotel concepts<\/b>:<\/span><\/p>\n

      Opting for a higher investment with the enlargement of the bathrooms, because the bed and bathroom are where guests spend most of their time.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    2. \n

      The introduction of <\/span>Spa elements <\/b>in the bathrooms<\/span>,<\/b> creating a small space for <\/span>wellness<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>relaxing<\/span><\/i> in the room<\/span>. (quitar same)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      Sense of openness by removing architectural barriers and the creation of an <\/span>open-space concept<\/b>, where each element is treated as an independent piece. Within this trend is the creation of <\/span>peek-a-boo bathrooms<\/i><\/b>.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    4. \n

      Walk-in showers with large shower heads that recreates the effect of rain or of a waterfall; and, when possible, using two <\/b>shower heads for couples.<\/b>v<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Independent bathtubs<\/b> outside the bathroom, as a <\/span>sculptural bedroom piece<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      The use of<\/span> organic materials<\/b> such as wood, stone, slate or earthy finishes and furnishings that create a tactile texture. <\/span>Textures and sensations<\/b> that also complement the taste of the client, such as bathrobes, towels, slippers, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Unique\u00a0pieces that give personality to the room in order to create a <\/span>wow effect<\/i><\/b>; elements suspended from the ceiling\u00a0with curved designs, that not only help create a greater sense of space but are also operational.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Gadgets<\/i><\/b> and technological appliances<\/b>: bathtubs with <\/span>displays<\/span>, remotes controlled via <\/span>smart<\/span> phone<\/span>, <\/span>electric mirrors <\/span>with LCD screens, mood<\/span>\u00a0lighting\u00a0<\/span>for the showers and bathtubs, etc. In this line, the <\/span>high-tech<\/span> toilets of the Japanese firm TOTO are becoming more popular.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      His & Hers sinks<\/i><\/b>, two sinks for him and her,<\/span> in order to enhance the effect of a luxurious bathroom and to create a personal space for every one of the guests. This trend has also led to the popularity of \u201ctrough sinks\u201d, <\/span>an elongated basin made of less common materials \u00a0such as stone or polished concrete.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
